Young Dental Writer of the Year
The British Dental Editors Forum (BDEF) has announced that the winner of this year's BDEF/British Dental Industry Association (BDIA) Young Dental Writer of the Year Award is James Darcey.
James, a Manchester based dentist and Speciality Registrar and Honorary Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester, was nominated for his article Resorption: part 1. Pathology, classification and aetiology, which was published in the BDJ in May 2013.
Second place was awarded to Perivale based dentist, Amit Rai, who was nominated for this article Richard III – the final act which was published in the BDJ in April 2013.
BDIA Executive Director, Tony Reed presented the awards and commented, “It was a delight to present this year’s awards to James and Amit, who are both very capable young writers. Congratulations in particular must go to James for this year’s winning article”.
